Indian Rim Asian University Games Secures Funding

Games management are very pleased to formally announce that a long term funding agreement has been reached for the Indian Rim Asian University Games. This funding agreement will be in place for the hosting of the event in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

This funding agreement is the creation of a partnership between The University of WA, Australian University Sport and the West Australian Government.

Indian Rim Asian University Games

The Indian Rim Asian University Games are a celebration of sport, culture and friendship.

Open to university teams from the Indian Ocean Rim and Asian regions, the Games are an excellent opportunity for university students to experience international competition, share in cultural exchanges and, in the process, build life long friendships.

The inaugural Games in 2005 featured over 1200 competitors from 26 universities in 10 countries, with the 2007 games continuing to build the traditions of the event.
