Football (Soccer)

Football (soccer) debuted in the Olympics in 1900, and has become the world's most popular sport. The Laws of the Game were written in England by the Football Association in 1863.

Since then, the laws have substantially changed, to such an extent that the game played today bears little resemblance to that of the 1860's. Football is governed internationally by FIFA, which organises the FIFA World Cup every four years.

IRAUG athletes will get the opportunity to play football on UWA's own football fields at the UWA Sport and Research Park.
